It's True

Wherever you go, there you are... and if you're a Shilcutt, you'll know someone along the way. We just got back from NYC and Project Dance, and while waiting in line in the airport to come home, my friend Chez from ACU called out my name from the other security line. Small world. We were seated one row from each other and seat swapped and talked the whole way back to DFW.

Performing was so much fun, and we also talked to people while they were watching the rest of the show about why we were there. This was amazing, too, because it rained most of the day Saturday, and people were just stopping and watching as the water poured down. God was definitely moving. One guy even heard the music from several blocks over saying, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus," and came running to see what was going on. So cool. We had some great times of worship, and then took classes from 10-3 on Sunday in the new Alvin Ailey center. It was so cool to get to take classes from Christians who excel in their art and desire for others to know Him. Traveling dancing missionaries...

Three Weeks...

Three weeks from today, we will be performing in New York City... whoa! We're putting the final touches on rehearsals and trying to complete all our fundraising so that we can enjoy a great weekend at Project Dance that should be pretty awesome. This convention was started as a gift back to the city after 9/11, and we'll be one of the many dances going on all day long on 2 stages in Times Square for the people of New York. We should get to take some cool classes while we're there as well. Two more Saturdays...
